DESCRIPTION:Rural hospitals face unique challenges in delivering high-quali
 ty\, patient-centered care while navigating limited re sources\, workforce
  constraints\, and increasing regulatory expectations. Yet one of the most
  effective and underutilized strategies for improving care delivery\, pati
 ent safety\, and the patient experience is a strong Patient and Family Adv
 isory Council (PFAC).\nIn this webinar\, Barbara Lewis\, PhD\, MBA\, Presi
 dent of the non-profit Healthcare PX and a nationally recognized expert on
  hospital PFACs\, will provide an evidence-based roadmap for both launchin
 g a new PFAC and strengthening an ex isting one. Drawing on 10 years of PF
 AC research culminating with her national mixed-methods research and real-
 world examples from hospitals across the U.S.\, Barbara will share practic
 al strategies for building support\, recruiting and onboarding effective a
 dvisors\, establishing strong governance structures\, increasing engagemen
 t\, and measuring mean ingful outcomes.\nDesigned specifically for rural h
 ealthcare leaders\, this session will explore how PFACs can become powerfu
 l strategic assets that improve care quality and safety\, save hospitals m
 oney\, and enhance the patient experience\, including boosting HCAHPS scor
 es.\nParticipants will learn how to:\n• Build the executive case for a PFA
 C in a rural hospital setting\n• Launch a council with a strong structure 
 and clear purpose\n• Recruit and engage diverse patient and family advisor
 s\n• Strengthen existing PFAC participation and effectiveness\n• Expand PF
 AC influence across hospital initiatives\n• Measure and communicate PFAC i
